You've found the official website for Stryngs. We're a five piece, melding original lyrics with mainly acoustic music, based in Cambridge and London UK.

"Almost entirely, but not quite unlike folk."

With apologies to Douglas Adams, that's about as close as we come to categorising ourselves. Put another way, we're "modern folk". Or "Singer-Songwriter". Or "a bit like The Beautiful South". We didn't quite understand that one, but hell, it's flattering.

Recent news

If you've been here before, you'll probably know that 2007 was a fairly slow year for us. Real life has an irritating habit of getting in the way of the passions, such as music, that we like to indulge. And last year, real life got in the way of everything. 2008 is a bit different: Strings and Martin are in the USA, touring around, playing coffee houses and the house concert circuit.

As long as a working Interwebnet connection can be found on a regular basis, updates will be posted in the blog and over at MySpace.
